Worship

We begin our worship services with the statement “No matter who you are or where you are on your life’s journey, you are welcome here.” We are an Open and Affirming, Just Peace church. Our worship services are the result of thoughtful planning and we strive to act out the above statements in our worship of God.

The sacrament of Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month and on special occasions. Our communion table is an Open Table.

Our music is both contemporary and traditional. At Zion, we offer many opportunities for members to participate in music ministry. We have a choir that meets weekly from September through May. We have many talented members of our congregation who share their talents throughout the year. We are always looking for someone to share their special music talent with the congregation.

Children are welcome to stay for the entire service or they may leave after the Children’s Sermon for a structured activity before returning to the service.

Our worship service is a place where love and friendship are embraced and proclaimed. There is a feeling of family as we pray, praise, and share our love for God.
