For several years Glo Showalter has been informally offering a lifeline to queer friends in St. Joseph and Elkhart counties with their training & experience in pastoral care, community-building, and healthcare navigation. The work has grown past the point where it can survive on sporadic donations and spare time.
We are a group of pastors and church folk who want to put our dollars into supporting the LGBTQ+ community at a time when powerful voices are threatening their existence. One of many harms the church has historically perpetrated on this community is excluding them from our networks of mutual care. Hostility, threat, & dismantled services.

$130,000 will support Gloʼs work (salary & expenses) half-time for three years. When we reach $45,000 we will send Glo their first paycheck.
Zion Community Church in South Bend is ready to receive tax-exempt donations. A board of three will supervise Glo's work and send periodic updates to donors.
